The resemblance of Oslo to Seattle is uncanny. The look of a northern forest meeting the ocean with islands is the same. The throng of ferries, boats, kayakers, and birds is the same.
Many things are the same. This must be why so many Scandinavians settled in the Seattle area. It was like they never left home.
However, one big difference: Oslo is way farther north – 59 degrees to Seattle’s 47. That would put Oslo 900 miles farther north – somewhere around Juneau, Alaska.
And this difference in latitude explains one dead give away on the Oslo skyline – one thing that could NOT be in Seattle.
Can you spot it?
