It’s the world’s largest ski jumping hill, and standing at the bottom of Planica in the northwest corner of Slovenia, you wonder how anyone can live going off it. But they do. The 2012 FIS World Cup Ski Jumping Final is being held here this weekend, and the site is busy with preparations.

Watch Bjørn-Einar Romøren set the world record of 239m at Planica in 2005.

And listen to the Norwegian announcer perhaps set a world record in hysteria…
